We are invited to join a thatch roof repair. To complete the repair (not the whole roof but just one side) takes over a week we were told and we joined one of the days.
Upon our arrival we were provided a task. It require chopping the thatch. Just keep chopping. Hopefully the task is enjoyable enough that it will keep the boys busy…
So far so good. Sharp tool seems to excite them and they are fighting over it.
To our surprise, they kept at it for a long time. Chopping and bundling. Nice weather definitely made our day pleasant.
Brian went up on the roof to help put the thatch in place. Only adults were allowed up. Hopefully after having a day of experience, Brian knows how to fix our roof 😉
