Our neighbor came over one day and approached Brian with a position in his company.
This part time role involves making sake at a local sake brewery called Iwanoi. Before I even explain to Brian I react to our neighbor, “That is one of a kind opportunity indeed! I say why not!?! Ah of course that is just me saying…” I look over to Brian who has no idea what is being discussed. When I deliver the news to Brian I see a rather stiff facial expression on him. Oh boy…
He is worried that there are too many things still to do at home over winer. I tell Brian not to worry, to take up the offer and enjoy this one of a kind opportunity. I tell him it will help him better understand Japanese culture. So Brian rather reluctantly (I think) accept.
We later received a set of uniform that Brian needs to wear at the brewery. Brian examines and worries that wearing all day long boots that are tight on his toes are the worst. Will they fit?!

I see him trying on the hat. He is warming up to the idea of working at the brewery? Who knows!
Well, I hope it will be an interesting experience for him after all.
